Hello,

I was wondering if I could upgrade my processor. I have a Dell Optiplex GX620.
I updated my BIOS to version A11.
I currently have an Intel Pentium 4 Dual core 3 GHz processor.
The processor has Intel64, I'm running a 64 bit version of Windows, with 3.5 GB RAM.
I want to upgrade my processor to at least 3,4 GHz. Which processor should I purchase?

Regards,

Lucas

The Pentium D 960 seems like a good cpu for you

That's an old processor there. Even if you find a slightly better CPU on e-bay, you won't notice the difference. Maybe in your pocket.
IMO it's not worth spending a penny on that system.

I thought updrading my CPU would make my framerate in games faster.
I have an AMD Radeon HD 5450 and I'm not sure if my CPU is bottlenecking.
I'm not entirely sure which hardware part I should upgrade to get a faster framerate, maybe I should get a newer video card, or a faster hard drive, or even a new motherboard.
