Hey everyone,

I am about to buy an R9 295x2 and I want to make sure this is a good cable to get or if I should get another. Some questions though...

1) The plug itself:
----Will this work well for my monitor and 295x2? This seems to have gotten good reviews but I'm really not sure. It's a Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort, 9ft long

2) My monitor is a 144Hz Asus VG248QE 24" 1080p monitor, but this cable says it supports 120Hz. Will it be bale to transmit the full 144Hz bandwidth so I can get the most from my monitor? Or is there some "special" cable I need to get in order to see the full benefit of my monitor?

As some of you many know, I've posted about 40 times this month on a $5k Haswell build. Thankfully, I'm at the end of research and will pull the trigger soon! I'm thankful for everyone's help!!!

Solution
All you need to know is that the cable is a Displayport 1.2 standard (the most recent available, 2.1 a with Freesync additions only will become available later this year or next year).

Cables that baffle with non-essential gibberish is to be avoided. Shop here for good, cheap cables: http://www.monoprice.com/
