BIOS UPDATE FOR PHOENIX LTD 1.14 (6/8/00) I have an older HP XE 734 which runs XP rather well using Foxfire browsing. Trouble is it won't start with the (2) 256M RAM sticks I upgraded to. Runs fine with just one of them in, but XP says I need BIOS upgrade. Anyone know where this might be freeware? Thanks!

Select "OS Independent" for the OS and note the single file listed under BIOS.
That seems to be the only file available for your system.

THANKS, COLGeek. The BIOS update worked, but XP still blocked the U/G to 512MB. I dumped the windows for a version of PuppyLinux (Lucid) which not only accpeted the 512MB, but made that old XE734 scream and can now see fully scripted web pages that XP could only "paint" slowly.
