So I've had me newly built PC for over a month now. Since the day i built it I've had no issues. Untill the past few days where its started to randomly restart on me without an warning. The only thing I've changed is my mouse. Which i changed from a Logitech G400S to a Razer Death Adder.

It tends to restart when playing CS:GO. I've done stress tests on my CPU & GPU and not once did it restart on me. Which pulls me away from thinking its a PSU failure because surely it will be under high load while stress testing right? My temps are all cool even under max load too.

I've also done a clean install of windows 8.1 64Bit just in case it was an OS issue but its still restarted on me.

Here are my specs and event logs see if anyone can make any sense out of them?

This PC build has cost me a lot of money and id be grateful if anyone can take the time to help me out.

What PSU do you have?

What are your CPU and GPU max load temps?

have you stressed both cpu and gpu together like you would during gaming? The PSU may pass while only stressing one at a time but together may push it over the edge.

Have you tried updating your hardware drives? If you are running CS:GO from Steam, you get game updates all the time.

When my CPU is at max load with 90% load on RAM i get temps of 50C and what can i use to stress test both my CPU and GPU? My PSU is a corsair CX750M. I've just played CS:GO for about 4 hours and no restart. It just doesn't make any sense to me! Can anyone make anything out from the event logs.

Does it sound like a driver issue or a PSU or hardware issue? Because if it was a PSU issue wouldn't it be consistent in restarting? Everything is new in the build too!

The PSU is not the best quality especially for a high end build like that,

But how do i determine if it is the PSU? Because if im to send it back to corsair i'll be without a PC for a while. And if they send it back with no problem then it would have been a waste of time.

You don't want to send it back. They will just give you a replacement low quality unit. You want to buy a new unit from Antec, XFX, Seasonic.

I have a video uploading now that shows what happens. I've managed to run OCCT which is stressing the CPU top 100% and RAM to 90% and then Fur Mark stressing the GPU to 50% and the PC just cuts out. Does this mean that the PSU can't cope with the power of the PC or its faulty under heavy load?

Here is the link to the video. Please watch it, it explains whats happening: http://youtu.be/CmcyM2PWHFE

Sounds like PSU to me. Buy a quality unit.

Just done the same test again and again and it didn't restart on switch off. If its the PSU wouldn't it have restarted or switched off everytime?

No a bad PSU is not going to always be consistent.

So if i was to buy a new PSU and the restarting still existed what else would it be? Because i can't just send my PSU back and get a refund right?

You cannot just send back your PSU more than likely.

You have done a clean install of Windows so that means you reset the drivers which is what I usually suggest before replacing the PSU.

I would buy an XFX PSU. They are the best for the money.

Can i not send it back to Corsair for it to be tested?

It will probably test perfectly fine. Thats the thing. It is not broken. just not good quality.
