hey guys just put all these parts together on cyberpowersystems online and just looking for advice and if i made any mistakes with compatibility? or do i need to invest in some better cooling things/fans etc ? any feedback is appreciated thanks.

Also im curious if i could save any money by downgrading the cpu a little ? if so any suggestions would be great.

Solution
Actually you can oc, but that is new right now on these budget boards so you might run into some issues.

I'd get Z97, so much future proof over B85.

budget is tight enough so would priority be a better ssd? i could get a z97 but i cant afford to keep the k cpu if i do. im inexperienced with this stuff but will a non oc cpu hold back the 780ti much for 1080p gaming?

would this be alright, i've seen crucial a good few times seems to be a reputable name :128 GB Crucial MX100 Series SATA III Gaming MLC Solid State Disk? just for the sake of 30 pounds. i can afford the z97 if i hold off on the k cpu. does that make sense to do?

Not really worth, the whole point of a z97 board is so you can overclock the cpu, with it being a non overclockable cpu, there's no point spending on extras for something you don't need, either go h97 and non k 4690 or z97 and 4690k, I think you'll have to go for the non k with h97 route, but there are really cheap z97 boards so can you not fit in a 4690k?

at the moment i have it all added up it looks doable with the k cpu and z97 and the better ssd. my main confusion which i forgot to look up before asking is, is it easy enough to overclock your cpu? the site i was on was offering an out of shop overclock of 30% for 48 pounds on top of the cpu price. so my question is can i do the overclocking myself with a bit of tinkering in the system settings itself? if so then ya i should be able to afford it. thanks again for the speedy replies
