Ok so here's what happened... I recently bought an i5 4670k processor from Newegg (this was my first build btw) and I finished everything, so I had to install the cpu.
I accidently bent a few pins on the mobo without knowing it, and here I am.
I know the mobo broke because i don't get POST or anything just fans and LED, but I don't know about the cpu. I was told that as long as it didn't fry the cpu it will be fine, but I don't want to buy a new mobo without knowing for sure. Here are some pics

Solution
My friend had the same problem.
He accidentally bent some pins. Which made the computer to restart ever 2-4 second due to the CPU getting no power..

Any how. 2 of the pins on the MotherBoard cpu-socket were bent. So we very carefully bent the pins back in place.
Just 1 pin out of 1150 will cause the computer not to start.

If they de-attach from the motherboard cpu-socket. There is nothing to do I am afraid.

It's very easy to break the pins.. sadly.

i don't see any pics. do you see any dark burn spots on the CPU? and does it smell like it is burnt? i've seen this happen before to new builders in the past and the CPU always turned out to be fine.

as for the motherboard pins, you can try taking something with a really thin edge, like a box cutter, scalpel, x-acto knife, etc. and carefully straighten out the pins with it. i was a biochemistry major and took a few anatomy classes so i have some scalpels laying around from my dissecting lab days, and that's what i used. i had to do this at least a dozen times for other people. so far my success rate has been 100%. it's not hard. get comfortable, don't rush and don't worry about messing it up since it's already messed up. think of it as a learning experience.

in the past the pins were on the CPU and i was able to straighten those out too and get the damn thing to work, and i was like 12 years old when i first did that. some of the pins were on a 90* angle and still worked afterwards!

As I said before, no one can tell you for sure... The only way to know would be to test it.

I highly doubt there is something wrong with the CPU. Since it have no pins to bend.

Well I'm gonna go buy a new motherboard, and if something happens to the new mobo because of the cpu, I'm holding you all for blame :p (just joking) but I'll give details when I get it (btw its a Gigabyte Z97 Gaming 7 socket 1150 mobo).
