so i am having a bit of a problem with my laptop, it's a vaio E series and for some reason old problems with overclocking got me out with a terrible hardware with milions of stutterings and lots of hardware bottlenecks. games like wakfu which ran perfectly on a celeron, 2gigs of ram and 64mb ded graphics card, now runs terrible with about 100 stutterings in 10 minutes on a 4gigs, i5 3230m and 7650m with 1gb of vram. anyways so i decided that linux runs faster on hardware, so i got ubuntu 14.04 LTS recently and it did work. and for gaming most games run on wine and steamOS is coming so alot of games are going to cope with that soon, besides, upgrades are free. so it was all fine till i found out that my 7650 is somehow limited to 250~300mb of its actual vram, which is totally bad. as i said i'm new to linux so i don't know even how to tweak that. any help?
