Gigabyte R9 270x overclocking problems?

Hi everyone.
I just installed Gigabyte's OC_Guru II to overclock my R9 270x just a tiny bit, but it resulted in a red screen. Naturally I reverted to default speeds, but when I returned to my game I got a BSOD within the first minute or so. I tried it again and the results were similar. I then double-checked OC_Guru to ensure everything is back to factory default, and uninstalled it. After restarting once again I came straight here. I'm unsure whether I should try and run a game again, in fear of ruining my not-even-3 day old card.

I overclocked every setting by two clicks, except for the core clock, which I set at 1135mhz...
So what do you think? What are my options? What did I do wrong? Thanks in advance!

If it matters, my system specs are as follows:
Motherboard - Gigabyte B75M-D3H.
CPU - Intel Core i5-2400 sandy bridge 3.1Ghz (quad core).
RAM - 4Gb of some inbred generic RAM.
GPU - Gigabyte R9 270x OC edition.
Power supply - Cooler Master GTX 650w Bronze.

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, but the second time around I used Skyrim and I had the same results. Before I tried overclocking I didn't experience any problems with either of the games.

I have the same card and it runs at 1150 core clock and 1500 memory with no problems at all...so in theory, you shouldn't have problems at 1135.

I reverted all the settings back to stock and uninstalled everything overclocking related, and did a final reboot, everything has been fine...
