I've never had any problems with my internet until destiny came out. sense release day until the date of this posting every time i go on my ps4 and play destiny my internet works for about 10-15 minutes and then breaks. It's not just the ps4 going out anything connected to my network goes out until i walk over there and unplug and that whole routine. Then the whole thing starts over again. If i use my pc or any other device that uses the internet i can do whatever i like and it wont go out. the second i turn on my ps4 its like the internet timer comes on -__-. Any advice? thought it might be the ps4 wifi card so i direct connected and that didn't change a single thing. VERY FRUSTRATING as anytime i try and do a long term thing in destiny i cant. So any end game stuff is off limits to me :(  anyone else having this problem or know of any solution?

Sounds like it's your router.
Got any friends you can try your ps4 at their house at to see if it's always the ps4?

Reading some of the reviews for your router it sounds like it's your router: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
You're right it "should" handle what you throw at it, but....

WD is a HDD manufacturer, not a networking company. You want a Linksys, D-link, Netgear or Cisco router. (there are other manufactuers that are good as well)

This is the best router you can get for under $100: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Destiny has server issues for sure, which was addressed by Bungie. However, the game affecting your whole network seems like a long shot. Something must have happened coincidentally.

That's very frustrating as you can see the price of the WD router :( (((.. What's the best router for gaming? Any router that stands above and beyond the rest as far as stability/speed?

This has happened over 50+times certainly not just a coincident.

Hmm. I meant the date it happened, not how many times.

You could call your ISP to send a signal to check your internet. Worse comes to worst, you might need to get a tech sent out to your house.

I personally have an Apple Airport Extreme (current gen) and have had no issues.

i've already done that and as you know they give the whole speech they always do. Unplug plug back in we will check it. It should work "fine" now. I just dont get how i can run multiple games/steam hd movies on my computer but then when the ps4 comes in then it dies.

Is it only destiny or just the ps4 in general?

to be honest i cant really test this. At the moment i only own destiny and assassins creed black flag.. obviously blackflag isnt really online so as far as i know it could only be destiny.

I do believe Black Flag has a multiplayer.
Try it. If not, you can download a free game (Blacklight) on the store. See if it downloads alright, and if so, plays alright.

Great. Slay some Templars for me while you're there.

Anyway, hop back on destiny now. Does it disconnect?

they have been slain ;)

well heres what happens. It suddenly cant find guardians for multiplayer but i could still do stuff by my self then a little later (10mins) itll just boot me out completely and then thats when the whole internet goes out. As far as i can tell im having no problems with assassins creed. Im already over the time when destiny starts being a little turd.

Geez man, I'm real stumped then. A game crashing your internet? Or does it just affect your ps4 and everything else is ok?

If the former is the answer, then take it to Bungie forums.

Well I've got nothing. I stated previously destiny has very poor servers right now.

Take the issue to Bungie forums. They may have a solution.

Good luck.
