I am looking for a power supply for R9 290 Crossfire and Broadwell supported for when I want to upgrade it.

I am looking to build a new computer with following components.

- i5 4690k CPU
- MSI Z97-GAMING 5 MB
- G.Skill Sniper 8GB 1866 DDR3
- Crucial MX105 512GB SSD
- Sapphire Radeon R9 290 4GB Tri-X
- Cooler Master COSMOS SE
- Corsair H105

I am thinking around 850W PSU to be able to support Crossfire. But I am looking for $150 or less on PSU. Any advice and recommendation is very much appreciated.

850w would be cutting it very close for R9 290 crossfire. 850w is ok for 780 SLI, but the 290s I'd have to recommend 1000w to be safe. I've seen a 290X Crossfire system hit 1050w at peak, so with the 290s consuming slightly less power I'd recommend you go with 1000w or a very high quality 900w unit
