Greetings,

I'm looking to build a high end gaming pc, I'm not sure about my budget but probably around $1,000 - $1,500 USD, the lower the better!

I definitely want an Intel i7 (3.6 min), 16 RAM and Nvidia geforce GTX-780

The last PC I've built had gtx-480 and it finally died couple days ago after 4 yrs, so I definitely looking for a nice upgrade that will lasts as long -or longer

Will anyone be kind enough to spec me the parts around those? I will definitely need a new case too, my knowledge is very limited regarding RAM and Motherboard.

Are these even possible with that kind of budget? The game I want to play smoothly is mostly Battlefield 4 in max setting, and hopefully the next Call of Duty or even Destiny if they will make it for PC

Can anyone also recommend me any good website (with competitive price) to build PC beside cybergamingpc?

Thank you!

Are you sure you don't want to build it yourself? These days, it's easier then ever. If you really can't build it, alternative vendors are DigitalStorm and ibuypower.

If this rig will be primarily for gaming, you can save a lot of money by sticking with an i5, and 8GB of RAM, as anything more won't really be worth it for gaming.

I'd also consider an SSD in this price range, to improve game loading and overall system responsiveness and joy-of-use. :)

Why do you want an i7? It is totally unnecessary for gaming. It's only useful in applications which utilize hyper-threading. (No games use hyper-threading) Why do you want 16gb of RAM? Games never use more than 8. The only time I can see needing 16 would be for multiple monitor gaming. Also, why 780? The 900 series cards by nVidia are supposedly coming out on the 19th of September? If you still feel like you need all of those things then yes, I can give you a build though with all those things listed it will be much closer to $1500 than $1000. Also, are you thinking of a color scheme or no? And case preference colors?

Here's my recommendation. You can swap out the AMD R9 290 for a EVGA ACX GTX 780 if you really want NVIDIA, but the AMD will get you much more performance for your money.

Good point there, I didn't realize the 19th date was announced?

Definitely worth waiting a few days at this point. :) If nothing else, existing cards should fall in price.

It's not officially announced but it is expected release as the 19th is when nVidia is doing their official like reveal almost. Some say not till October, but even then it's worth the wait for either lower price on current cards or even get the GTX 970 (rumored $349 at release) which has higher performance (also only rumored/leaked) than the 980 which costs a bit more.

Plenty of money to get a 9xx card.

I'm also using the computer for working and the programs that I'm using the most are Revit and AutoCAD and plus I like to Alt-Tab-ing (playing while working lol)

For the case, I don't have any color preferences so probably black should be fine but I rather have a full tower since my last PC has mid size tower and it gave me hard time to install the small parts and cleaning them. I'm hoping to get a case that can make the pc a bit quiet and has good cooling system.

As for the 900 series, yes I'd rather wait for them since I don't know when nvidia will release the new vga! How about Intel? Will they also releasing their new line up soon?

Thanks!

Intel's new line dubbed Broadwell are slated for late 2014 (probably early 2015) If you care to wait that long they would be worth the wait as they are not only faster but much more efficient with both power consumption and heat output.

While I'd definitely wait for the NVIDIA launch, if it's right around the corner, the Intel wait may not be worth it. If the last 4 generations are any indication, you'll end up with 5-10% more CPU performance and a bunch of efficiency you probably don't care about. (Not that efficient isn't good in a desktop, you just don't have to worry about...your battery dying on the way to the airport?)

Can't predict the future, but that's what all signs are pointing toward.
