hello, so i want to switch from windows 8 to windows 7. I bought laptop with genuine windows 8 version. Now when i install windows 7 from the iso over DVD will the serial key i had for window 8 work for windows 7 or no? what should be done here?

No, you need a new copy of Windows 7 with a fresh key.

The correct thing to do is learn to use Windows 8. It is better and you will like it after you get over it being slightly different looking.

If you really, really hate Win 8, you have 2 options:

1. Upgrade to 8.1
Change the default to boot directly into Desktop mode
Pin often used applications to the taskbar
Enjoy the under the hood benefits of Win 8, while retaining most of the look of 7.

or

2. Purchase a valid copy of Win 7
Install.

well i know all that , its not avout that i cant get used to windows 8 , i am already used to it, but i dont like it and its slow, even though i did roll it back to factory settings etc. I just want like windows 7 back, cause i like it way more, is there any way that i can contact manufacturer and ask about this and that i can hope they can give me some positive info about installing genuine version of windows 7?
