Running Windows 8 in a fast portable USB 3.0 SSD maybe good, the Renice U3 SSD can reach the read speed of 370MB/S. Just find out that Renice giving away such portable SSD with some SD and CF flash cards. And it really easy to participate in. http://goo.gl/o9we1A
