I am going to be starting a business in server hosting and well I have the time, money and knowledge to do it. I have almost everything planned out, but for my servers I will be preparing to buy Microsoft Windows Server 2012 standard for $700.00. Will I need CAL license's for my clients to log on to their servers?

Also I need to know if it would be beneficial to buy some pre-made servers from Dell or should I just build my own?

1. Yes, you will need CALS for people to connect
2. What is your back up scenario like?
3. What is your business-class internet pipe like?

1. Alright sounds good.

2. I am thinking about buying some 2U or 4U server racks for back-up in raid 5 or 6. I don't know what brand hard drives to use. I was thinking Seagate or WD

3. 150 Mbps Down and 50 Mbps UP Verizon Fios

#3. You can't do this from a residential FiOS account.

There are a zillion other considerations to look into as well.

It's actually a Business account with Fios internet. http://www.verizon.com/smallbusiness/fiosInternetOvervi...

I understand that. I just need to get those general considerations. I have to mainly think about.
