Hi guys!
So here's the scenario. I recently bought a new computer. My monitor contains a DVI-D port, and my motherboard contains both a DVI-D and HDMI port.
I want to know whether to get a DVI-to-DVI cable or connect my monitor to the motherboard's HDMI port using the DVI-to-HDMI cable. Is there any difference between these two cables in terms of quality? Just want to use the maximum quality results my computer can achieve.
My monitor model is a Samsung S22C300B, supporting a max resolution of 1920x1080. My motherboard (MSI B85-G43) has the following spec sheet listed:
- 1 x VGA port, supporting a maximum resolution of 1920x1200 @60Hz, 24bpp
- 1 x DVI-D port, supporting a maximum resolution of 1920x1200 @60Hz, 24bpp
- 1 x HDMI port, supporting a maximum resolution of 4096x2160 @24Hz, 24bpp/ 2560x1600 @60Hz, 24bpp/ 1920x1080 @60Hz, 36bpp
Pardon me if this is a ridiculous question, was just not sure, haha! Please do provide me your opinions, thanks a bunch!
