What is considered cheapest Core-i7 LGA 2011v3 Intel CPU?

I want to spend the money to get a "next gen" mobo but don't want to do gaming or computational intensive stuff on it just yet. So I plan on upgrading CPU, RAM, GPU, SSD etc by the holidays.

For now, since I can't use my 4770k, where can I get the cheapest Core-i7 LGA 2011v3 Intel CPU?

To answer the specific question you had, the cheapest 2011-v3 i7 CPU is the 5820K, which costs around $390; you can get it cheaper if you can get to a Micro Center in person ($299).

It's probably worth mentioning that it's not really "next gen", it's just a different branch of the same generation (Haswell). If you already have a 4770K based system, there's limited reason to upgrade for the CPU, unless you specifically need the extra cores of Haswell-E for productivity reasons.
