Thanks! I kind of figured it wouldn't really make a huge difference in my system but I figured why not come ask the experts! 
Also, not sure if this would factor in favor or against the equation but I'm running a 1440p monitor. (2560x1440p)

Well an R9 270X isnt going to accept a Nvidia card 
.
It's best to pawn it off to someone whos not all that interested in gaming, but does want a PC upgrade to stay "current"
