I am buying a i3 4130 soon and I really have no knowledge about motherboards.
I have a tight budget and a good budget mobo would do..I just don't want the mobo to hold back the processor. I don't need any fancy options like SLI etc.
And what are the things I should look in a mobo?
like pcie slots and all that..

Solution
The following are some entry level mobo from Asus. They lack a lot of exclusive features but you'd be good to go. The B85 is recommended.

Asus H81M-K, uATX - US$ 52
Asus H81M-A, uATX - US$ 84
Asus B85 Vanguard - US$ 96

The H81 boards lack PCIe 3.0 which will be a bottleneck if you are going to use PCIe 3.0 GPUs. What you have to look for when choosing mobo are build quality, expansion slots, peripheral connectors, software support, form factor and provision for any future upgrades.
What is your budget ?

Since the CPU isn't unlocked so your choice of motherboard should be down to the features available like multiple PCIe slots , better sound quality , 6+2/ 4+4 CPU power connection for the future (OC) , Heat sinks available and the amount of Sata III devices that can be connected at a time as well as Support for front panel USB 3.0

And don't forget how many memory slots are on the motherboard. The least expensive (but still dependable) motherboards only have 2 memory slots. It is another $10 to $15 more for ones that have four slots, but that is much better if you plan on keeping the system for a long time.

Yeah I forgot that , thanks for adding :D
