So I was extracting a 3.6GB file from a .rar and I got the error 2560. I thought the problem might be capacity since I only had 4GB left of space so I inserted an empty 8GB flash drive. I got the same error when trying to extract the package. What am I doing wrong?

Have you installed the "rar" package? (It's in the non-free repo.)

What distrobution are you running? apt-get and aptitude are debian/ubuntu/mint specific.

apt-get install works but aptitude doesn't work. (I installed chrome with apt-get installl)

I started using the command [sudo apt-get install unrar rar] and I got unmet dependencies.

However, I have 2GB left of space and I don't want to uninstall chrome just to extract a rar package.

Update: Sorry, 2 was a typo. It was 4GB (Still the same as the main description)
