Effects of lesser VRAM

Solution

Ultra settings is more of a marketing term than a technical one, but you can try.

Anti-Aliasing is one of the biggest hogs of video memory. Anisotropic filtering consumes a fair bit of memory as well, but it has almost no performance impact while sufficient memory remains.

Draw distance and object density also consume memory, but the effects of these are more heavily felt on the shaders first, so memory may not be an issue.

Anti-aliasing sharpens images significantly and makes the edges smoother. SO even if you are able to play it at ultra settings without AA , you won't get much of ultra graphics.
