so i have a problem with my WIFI that it does not reach the third floor of my house, and i am using DSL for my ISP. so my question is can i use 2 cable modems to connect threw the cable lines in my house and get internet service on the third floor.

so just to make it simple:
dsl router<-->cable modem<-->cable modem<-->PC

Yes but not with a cable modem. The device you are looking for is called MoCA.

Yes, a MoCA adapter will allow you to turn the coax cable already installed to transmit network traffic. It will not effect the video info already on the wire.

The alternative to this is to try Powerline networking gear which is often less money, and easier to setup.
