The samsung 840 evo is what you're looking for. You decide the capacity you need. Ssds are roughly 50 cents per gb so keep that in mind

I haven't heard anything. I know a few friends who run them with no problems and great performance. Have you had trouble running yours?

I have SSDs installed as system drives on all my data recovery machines.
The drive I have found the best is by OCZ.
The worst - one by Kingston Technology, which would not allow a Windows install on any of the computers.
Now it's just used as a backup device.
The OCZ has installed as well on WinXP as Win7 - despite many people saying you cannot install an SSD under Windows XP. This is clearly nonsense.
OCZ is reliable and very, very quick.
No, I do not own any shares in them, nor do I have any material interest in the company. I just don't think you can go wrong with them.
Sure, Crucial gets the heads up with quality of service, but they fall down on performance.
I have tested the OCZ (this was a couple of years ago) with a read/write speed of 240MB/s - and I actually achieved a higher rate.
My first choice for SSD.

Not yet, only had it since July of this year. When I built a system (with the G3240/H97M-E) and the 250 GB Evo.

This is pretty recent

I was going to buy an Intel 530 but then I read that its firmware had a lot of bugs. Not too sure if Intel have fixed this yet. But after so many reboots people who have this SSD noticed it disappeared.

Intel (from about 3-4 weeks ago) now said this was due to displayport (something to do with the 20th pin on the cable or something was causing this). Dont know if this was the case or not tho
