I won't recommend any Dell power supply for anything. They are crap. A GT240 only needs a 350W power supply.

GT240 will take up to 70W from your PSU
Your Dell PSU is 350W, what cpu do you have and what motherboard?

I'm guessing it can run that GPU but write the other components first

CPU Model=Dell Optiplex 760 Tower
CPU=Core 2 Duo E6750 2.66 GHz
Motherboard=Dell Inc. QM860N
RAM=2.5 GB
PCIe=2.0x16
It supported Geforce GT 210 512mb perfectly

Yes your PSU should be enough to support that build (cpu needs 65W; GT240 needs 70W, that is 135W and let's say you have few fans and usb ports working all the times that would be around 150W your PSU should be working on 50% load which is good.)

It should be enough but I would suggest getting an aftermarket power supply such as one made from Seasonic or XFX.
