I have 2x4gig 2400mhz rams (corsair vengence pro) and I am trying to run them at 2400mhz, but it say I'm only running them at 1333mhz. I've tried changing the rams freq from 1333 to 2400mhz in bios, but my voltage is 1.664 and it's suppose to be 1.65 so I'm not sure what to do so I've changed it back to 1333mhz and it's running at 1.5 voltage. What do I have to do to be able to run them at 2400mhz?

motherboard - MSI Z97 Mpower MAX AC
CPU - Intel Core i7-4790k

You don't have to touch anything besides activating XMP. If you want to make extra sure it's all set correctly, load optimized defaults, make sure SATA mode is set to AHCI and then enable XMP.

To make sure the RAM is running at the right frequency download and install CPU-Z: http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html
Go to the tab Memory and look at DRAM Frequency. It should say 1200MHz (silly, I know, but you always have to multiply RAM frequency by two in these programs.).

okay so I just enable XMP and set my dram freq to auto. My voltage is still 1.664 isn't that a bit high? and in my bio's it say dram freq is 2400mhz, but how do I actually check if my rams are really running at 2400mhz?
