Hi there i got R9 260X 2GB to replace my ageing GTX 460 768 as it was quite cheap now i'm thinking about setting up crossfire mode i read somewhere that two R9 260X in crossfire can beat a 270X in performance is that true if so would it be worth getting another one as there quite cheap

the card is 2GB VTX3D R9 260 X-Edition

Now my board is the Asus M5A97 Evo R2 and i have the 8320 and 1050 watt 80+ psu the second lane is X4 but i read that shouldn't matter as its not a high end card is adding a 2nd card a viable option i could overclock both cards a little for more performance is it worth it

Cheers

Read my lips!
No! Nope! Nope! Nope!
Better to get a single but more powerful card.

I don't think the R9 260X exists. Must be the R7 260x you are talking about.

Did you mean an R9 270X or R7 260X?

It does not really matter if it is R7 260x or R9 270x.
XFire is not yet considered as worth it unless you are on R9 280x or higher.

Doesn't matter if you have a 280X or the R9 295x2,Crossfiring isn't the option unless you've got two or more monitors.

Yup!
Unless you have more than 1 monitor gaming setup or 1 single 4k monitor, XFire/SLI is also not really an option.
