QoS is a routing feature, it's used to balance or prioritise traffic between different networks. An AP simply exists to function like a switch, simply facilitating traffic between devices on the same network. It's no surprise that placing the NightHawk in AP mode disables QoS.
What you want to do is set your Modem Router to function as a Modem ONLY, and then connect the Internet port of your Nighthawk to the Netgear (now just) Modem. That will allow the Nighthawk to function as your router with all the features (including QoS) enabled.
Most Modem/Routers can be configured as a simple modem. Post back if you can't find those settings on your device.
Hey mate, thanks heaps for reply, yer im struggling to find the right settings on my modem/router DGND3700 to work as just a modem, any ideas,
