so, basically my pc currently has:
i5 2320
4gb ram 1333mhz
a 500gb (5400 rpm) hdd which is very slow...
i am getting really slow reactions and open times on big files/projects and such...
which one will give me a bigger performance boost? ssd or more 4 gigs of ram?

any brand you recommend me to buy the ssd from?

I upgraded to an SSD not long ago, the difference is amazing. Windows feels smoother than ever and rendering and editing is even faster. Games Do have a difference but with small SSD sizes I cannot fit them all.

SSD is possibly the best upgrade you can do for the money.

8GB's of memory is the best spot to have Ram, but most games if you don't have alot open don't need it, So the biggest upgrade would be to install the OS on an SSD.

I would reccomend Samsung or Crucial SSD'S. They are the most reliable and personally I use a Crucial SSD and have had no problems.

-good luck

It does help to reduce loading times / caching.

E.G. BF4 maps load in 10 seconds on my SSD -> on my HDD they take around 30 ish seconds.

Bets games that involve an SSD are games that require loading between maps. Like Battlefield, COD and so on. :D
