Hey!
So i got my new SSD, and installed windows on and and all that, but when i connected my old hard drive to my computer, i coudn't access it?

It's the "G" drive that isn't accesable

I don't want to erace or format the drive, because there is valuable information and old projects on it.

At this point I think the best thing to do is to consider some data recovery options. One way is another user to suggest a good data recovery program that could help you extract your data and the other - to consult with a data recovery company (in case you choose the second option, I advise you not to try getting any information from the external drive, because the data on it could be further damaged).

Hope everything turns out fine. :)

Hi.
Did you try running chkdsk on the drive? If not you can do it by right clicking on the G: drive, then click on Properties, after that - in the resulting dialog box - click the Tools tab and then on the Check Now button. In the window that will appear after that choose "Automatically fix file system errors".
In case there are no errors and the drive is still not accesable, you may try changing the letter of the drive by going to Disk Management, right-click on the drive and then click Change Drive Letter and Paths.
Hope this helps. Cheers! :)

Before i got my new SSD, i ran a chkdsk on the HDD, (which took ~38h) And when i tried to boot up my pc with the old drive as primary hard drive, it just got black screen with a curser.

Ok, then probably it is a permission problem. To change it open My Computer, right click on the secondary drive, go to Properties and after that click on Security. Then go to Edit, click on Add and in the window that will open type "everyone" in the white box. Lastly, check in the box titled "Full control" and press OK.
Let me know if the issue remains.
