the external hard drive is recognized as Drive "E" but used to be Drive "G"

Solution
Hi.
Sometimes the letter, which was assigned to the disk, changes. That can be easily fixed by assigning a drive letter manually in Disk Management - just right click on the drive, select "Change drive letter and paths" and then change and finally select a letter from the dropdown.
Cheers! :)
