well title pretty much sums it up, I want to hear some of your opinions about this. because I already have my Power color 7770 pcs+ and wanting a graphics upgrade. should I spend about 35$ on a second hand sapphire 7770 and just crossfire it? because I was originally planning on just dishing out my 7770 and getting a new gpu until I found out my psu is turning faulty and I decided that having a quality PSU is better than getting a gpu upgrade *Originally plan on upgrading to r9 280x* should I go with the crossfire for a temporary upgrade or just save my money to buy a 280x?

current specs btw

[CPU] FX 8320
[MB] MSI 970 gaming
[PSU] XFX Pro 650w XXX - New PSU
[RAM] Gskills ripjaws 4gb (2x2gb)

Yeah for a temporary upgrade that's fine. Always good to spend the money on a quality PSU first.

I've heard 7770's do not crossfire very well. I recently bought an R9 270 on ebay for about $90, and it will out perform crossfired 7770's all day. I would either save and get a better GPU, or really research to see what the gains are on a CF 7770, or 250x. (Same thing)

heard that 280X is really cheap right now. most likely AMD wants to clear inventory. but in your case you might want to replace your faulty PSU first

I kinda posted this to found that out :)  . I've been searching about it so far i've seen mixed reviews so i'm hoping this community would give me a better conclusion

also I guess I can squeeze a bit more out of my budget to get the 270x but I was really planning on getting the r9 280x so the crossfire would just be temporary upgrade but if I buy the 270x I think that I wouldn't be able to upgrade to the 280x, not for a while that is

well I've decided to just save my money for the r9 280x and don't go crossfire it'll take me 2-3weeks of saving but I think it will be worth it :)
