Today I installed my new Asus R7 240 2gb DRR3 to my Acer Aspire x3910 pc. Installed the latest driver and uninstalled the previous nvidia one. Tested the new gpu with videos and games and everything was great. However when the Windows Experience Index run it's routine scan it encountered some issue to which it gave no reason: immediately my aero was disabled, and the use of my GPU was ridiculously restricted to the point where the videos were pixelated garbage and games were not starting. As for the aero problem windows says that my Gpu driver may support the aero but with a driver that is compatible with Windows display Driver model(which I
have no Idea what it is.) I tried various things: Activated Windows Update(I haven't used it in a year.) to no effect. I really have no Idea what to do at this point.

If you installed the new one THEN uninstalled the old one, you may have uninstalled the new one too! Check to make sure.

Also, you should be running Microsoft Update all the time.
