I am tying to upgrade my pc as cheaply as possible. I have a video card, a gtx 580 (not greatest but not at all bad for now), some corsair ddr3, a pretty ugly but totally useable alienware case and the power supply it came with. I got all this from a co worker who built a new system so he let it all go cheap. Actually he wanted $60 for the video card and I don't think he's charging me for the rest of the stuff. So all I really need to spend real money on is my mobo and cpu.

Does anyone know about the quality of the components alienware typically uses? The model of the ps is nps-750ab-1. Looks like the model of the original pc is the area 51 x58.

I would get a new PSU for sure. Something quality from Antec, XFX, Seasonic.
