The R9 280 is 3GB (MSI) , 270X is 4GB (Sapphire). They are both the same price and I can't decide which one to get. Also, I want to keep the card for as long as possible so I was wondering 4GB would make it more future-proof?
Thanks

Solution
Totally agree with the others, the R9 280 is the better option.
Couple of points, though.
Either card needs a decent power supply, it's not a good idea to run either off molex/PCI-E adaptors so if the existing unit lacks the correct leads it will be a good idea to swap it for something more suitable.
Both benefit from a strong CPU, pairing either with a slow part will slow them down.
