hi..

Another router, a Smart rg SR350N, is using the WAN port and it must stay up. It does have spare LAN ports. I want to also connect an RT-N65U. Can someone tell me how best to do this?

thanks!

Your internet provider probably only provides one WAN connection. You would have to pay for an additional WAN connection.

If you just want to use the Asus as a WIFI point, you could connect the WAN port to a LAN port on the existing SR350N. This is called "Double NAT'ing" You will want to ensure that the DHCP server on the Asus is set to a different subnet from the SR350N. This will allow the Asus to function but not to directly access the internet.
