AMD chipset when Nvidia GPU?

First of all, I must say I'm not great with computers, especially not drivers and how the different componments work.

I've got a Sabertooth 990FX motherboard, and I just bought and installed a Geforce GTX 780Ti GPU.

When I go to download the drivers for the Sabertooth 990FX, It only gives me an option to download AMD chipset drivers..

Now, is this because the motherboard is AMD?(I got no idea if it is or not), or because the chipset is only supporting AMD?

Thanks for answers, and go ahead and laugh your ass off, I know how silly this question looks.

The chipset drivers (and everything on the motherboard's site) are for your motherboard only, and your motherboard and CPU use AMD technology, so the chipset drivers are for AMD. This will not affect the compatibility of your GPU; Just download the drivers for it from Nvidia's site and everything should work fine.

There are no silly questions!

As above. AMD chipset drivers for the motherboard. Which should have come on a disc with the mobo.
Nvidia website for graphics drivers, for the video card. Which should also have come on a disc with the video card, although the ones on the disc are almost always a little out of date, so most people go to the card maker's website and get the latest version.

You can use any brand of video card that fits and is supported by a motherboard's graphic slot(s), regardless of the brand of cpu.
