So I have a budget of just under £700 (not USD $$$, the exchange rate is different all the time)

fx 6300 - http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/YDyy8d

fx 8320 - http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/c2LjvK

the builds are exactly the same, apart from the cpu difference (obviously)

I am wondering if paying the extra £24 or so is worth it?
price to performance will paying the extra £24 really make a difference?
I originally had a better mobo and a a hyper 212 evo, but im not going to overclock as it will make NO real difference to the fps in games like bf3/4, minecraft and dayz, so I went for a cheaper mobo because of this.

Am I right in going for a cheaper motherboard?
also... is the the GPU I have picked worth it? I was going to go for an r9 270x which was £30 cheaper or so, but I wanted more ( the 280x, was jut too much ) and would bottlenecking come into this? (I have no idea what it is )

Anyways, if you have any tips or changes you could do, please do so

thanks!

Cheaper motherboards tend to lead to woes later when they fail early in life. MSI is not known for the best quality control. Personally, I'm fond of the Asus M5A97 for AMD motherboards.

In regards to processor selection, unless you do video encoding or similar work where the extra two cores would be worth it, you won't see much benefit getting the 8320 over the 6300. The 280 should be fine with either processor.

Other thoughts: That's a garbage RAM price. You really just generally want the cheapest DDR3-1600 2x4GB kit you can find unless you absolutely require a certain color or something and are willing to pay the price to get it.

What RAM would you recommend and mobo? and also, haven't the cheaper MSI motherboards got a problem with overheating?

I would suggest:

FX 6300 + Hyper 212 EVO + Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P

Will be about 45 pounds more, but very solid and easy to overclock.

Most people are pairing this setup with a mild 4.4-4.5GHz OC (4.4 is easily reachable on stock voltage) and an R9 270x and getting good frames on High-to-Ultra details on BF4 @ 1080p.

This motherboard also has a good 8+2 power circuit and can handle an overclocked FX 8320/8350. An 8320 + R9 280x would also be a good combo. But it will probably be a bit over your planned budget.

G.Skill ram also overclocks well. You can easily get DDR3 1600 up to 1800. But this can be overkill for gaming. You should be fine with some low latency DDR3 1600 if you need to save a little cost.

Overclocking has no value to me, the cost for the extra 2 or 3 frames isn't worth it, a cpu cooler isn't need, nor a good motherboard. I just need a reliable motherboard.
