I would appreciate you smart guys looking over my shoulder here and let me know the flaws in this plan.

On a 'fresh' DC7900 CMT [core2 duo] I will install Windows 7 on a single drive, and that's all on that drive. I will setup 2 matched 'data drives' as a RAID 1 volume [single]. I will option Setup/CMOS for RAID operation, then use the Intel Rapid Storage Utility under the OS to configure the RAID 1 parameters.
After that, setup a User account for each user, setup folders on the RAID data store, enable sharing appropriately, and put it on the LAN.

anything wrong with this plan?

I have not messed with RAID in a long time, as its a waste of time on modern desktops. But usually after you set the BIOS to RAID, you will see an option appear during POST to enter the RAID BIOS on the motherboard. You enter the RAID BIOS, and you build the array there. Not from in Windows.
