Hi, My case has 1 usb 3.0 and one usb 2.0 header on the front, yet my motherboard only has usb 2.0 headers. Is there an adapter I can use to convert my usb 3.0 port into a usb 2.0 port? I know it's sacrificing speed, but I don't want to have a useless usb port!

Yes, but does that not mean that a usb 2.0 port could work with a usb 3.0 header with the right adapter? I am looking for a way to use my usb 3.0 port on the front of my case with the usb 2.0 headers on the motherboard without buying a pci card with 3.0 headers?! Hope that makes sense!

Im willing to bet my first born that it will work. If not, it's not the end of the world. Well, for me it would be.

The ones on the front panel are ports, not headers. Each header can support 2 ports.

The internal connectors for USB 2.0 and 3.0 headers are NOT compatible, even though the external ports are. You will need to use an adapter like this.

Edit: Whoops, wrong way round. The ones linked by SR-71 and Murissokah above are what you'd need.
