How do i tell where windows 7 is?

Solution
Hi

Does the PC work ?
eg boot up to windows ?

device manager will tell you make of hard drives (WD, seagate, Toshiba, Hitachi ...)

If your two or more hard drives that are the same make & model it gets more difficult

Look at mother board marking to see which is lowest number sata port (either 0 or 1)
that port should be connected to the boot hard disk and have partition C: on it

to confirm this disconnect sata data or power cable from other disk(s) and see if the PC still boots up.

there are diagnostic programs which can tell you the hard drive serial number which is usually marked on the disk label

Or if that does not work and you do not want to remove the hard disks and connect to a usb tray or put the disk in another PC...

Unplug data or power from one hard disk
boot up from a Linux bootable cd or usb (gparted, parted magic or any of the live rescue cd's)
boot up
start up the file manager and browse to hard drive and look for folders
\windows
\users or \Documents & Settings
\Program Files

If the PC is haveing startup problems then you are going to need a usb tray or put the disk in another PC

Thing get more complicated if you have dual boot (multiple Windowsor other operating systems) and the boot files are on one drive and Windows on the other
