Should I go for an EVGA GTX 750ti (2gb)?

I'll use Fallout: New Vegas for this, since it's the most intensive game I play. With my integrated graphics I can get it up to high with acceptable results, so I assume I could do high, or maybe ultra, with this card. I don't really care much about the fps as long as it doesn't look like a slideshow.

As for mods, I only use weapon/armor packs and lighting mods (darker nights, streetlights, etc.) If this card would allow me to use graphics mods that would be nice, but it doesn't really bug me if not.

Thanks in advance for any input

Much more powerful than integrated graphics. Should let you play at a reasonable resolution with high graphics settings.

Not really enough information about your setup to be more specific.

I personally would go with a higher card so you can overclock and extend the usage longer into the future. The 750ti is a power saver card and in turn is limited by this attribute when speaking of future proofing. Otherwise, it's not a bad card as was said before.

I was +1 needing to know the whole setup. But yeah I agree with you too. BUT if he's been finding intergrated acceptable then the 750ti is going to be epic.

lol I find integrated graphics acceptable because I've been used to always having not-so-amazing computers, so I've always had pretty low settings/performance on games.

What is your PSU, and what model for the EVGA? The 750 ti is great atm for price/performance, You could also get a R9 270 and get a little bit more performance ^^

R9 270: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Well, my PSU is only the stock 300W (from what I understand, that's pretty darn low)

As for the model, most likely one of these:

Get the little one, with a single fan. The dual-fan one (the FTW edition) has a power connector and is pretty much made to be overclocked to the max as it has lots of overclocking room. You will need a better power supply for that. The little one has a quieter fan and can do with a 300W power supply, and on stock speeds it's just as fast as the FTW edition.
