I have a PNY GeForce GTX 780 graphics card that I have been using for a couple of months now without any problems, but recently I have been hearing a revving sound comming from my case every now and again. I decided to open my case and found that whenever I hear the sound the middle fan of my GPU has stopped spinning, making the remaining 2 spin very rappidly, way faster than normal. The strange part is that, after a while, the middle fan just starts working again, and the other 2 calm down.

Setup:
PN XLR8 GeForce GTX 780 OC
Intel Core i7 477k
16 GB DDR3 1600 Ram
Z87-Pro - V

Thanks for any help in advance for any help.

It could be insufficient power supply, what is your PSU rating? Lack of power supply will mean that lack of performance in your system.

It cant be his power supply, he's had it for some time.
Either your PSU is dying or your GPU is dying.
Test the GPU elsewhere to confirm your PSU is ded.

My PSU is a Corsair AX860i, and as has been said, I have been using my PC for about 3 months now, so it can't be that.

If you are 100% sure that it is not the PSU, then stress your GPU using stress testing tools like Unengine Valley and stress your GPU. If the GPU fails or if the fans of the GPU fails, it could be the GPU.

I would try using Heaven Benchmark and see how hot it gets.
