Hi Guys,

I have a sapphire 6670HD graphics card, It was working fine last month it stopped giving any output on screen through HDMI output. It was giving output fine on onboard VGA cable.

I replaced the graphics card from company, they gave me upgraded model 6870, but still same issue with the card, No output in HDMI. When I start the CPU the fan in the card runs, I am not able to locate the card in device manager also.

Please help.

Does it work with other ports, you might have a problem with other components.
A quick test is to pull out the memory off the motherboard and try to boot. If you hear beeps: mobo, psu and cpu are fine.
Also be sure that you plugged in extra power to the card if needed.

I tried the previous step, I am able to hear the beeps. I haven't tried with other ports on card, as i dont have anyother cable then HDMI.

I double checked with my laptop, I am getting display on my LCD , so there is nothing wrong with the HDMI cable or HDMI port in LCD.

I tried updating the drivers, but as the GPU is not detected in device manager , it's not allowing to install the drivers also.

I downloaded the latest drivers from AMD site and it just installs in a second and says finished.

re-intalled the driver and download the auto detect from AMD website. The system will tell you which driver you need. Hope this works.

This might sound a little dumb but have you tried another hdmi cable because the cable itself might be bad
