I bought a Sapphire R9 280x video card and a Corsair CX750M Psu.

The R9 280x requires two six-pin
connectors

One of the cables I have currently hooked into the PSU is for PCI-E and at the end of it has two six-pin connectors

With my power supply two of these types of cables came with it.

My question to you guys is do I need to hook a second cable into the PSU for the second 6-pin connector or can I simply just use the other six-pin connector on the first cable.

Sorry, if i'm asking a dumb question, I'm a newbie at this.

Thanks in advanced

Solution
You just need the one cable.
They will not put more connectors on a single cable then the power supply can use.

But it is much better to ask these qustioins then to be the guy that daisy chains 10 power outlet strips together.
