I've looked around for a while on the internet and can't find a straight answer so I will ask it here. I have an old Lenovo Windows XP computer with a dying hard drive and I want to put in a new hard
drive. The computer has an OEM version of Windows XP, and I know this involves some limitations with transferring the license. If the computer lets me clone the existing drive, will I be able to boot off the new drive, and if the existing drive is no longer able to be read, how do I get windows XP on to the new drive?

More about : move windows oem hard drive

Hard drive change is fine , you just can't change the board unless it's the same or similar model.

Should boot after clone.
