You have a ps/2 mouse plugging into a serial port?
I would suggest you go to your bios and reset it and then reconfigure it. I doubt you have any need for a serial port so go ahead and disable them (and ir ports too) if you dont. Ditto for parallel ports.

Make sure your sata ports are in the correct mode before you save and exit (ahci or ide/compatibility)

the green male mouse connector is plugged into the green female socket, so it is not a serial port.

So, I will try the disable steps on the serial, parallel, and ir ports and check for ide mode, then reconfigure. Thank you

The system responded by not showing the 3F8H error, but then it says, "operating system not found".
The mouse is on IRQ12
Any suggestions to solve this one?

I changed the search order from A:, to C: then A:, still no joy.
