hi people :D

i have my corsair cx750m for 2 or 3 weeks now

and i notice that a high pitched noise is coming from the PSU and somewhere around the CPU area. from capacitors (i think)

I can hear it trough my speakers.
I can hear it from my PSU.
I can hear it sometimes from the CPU area.

it's driving me crazy, tried lots of things to reduce or trying to get rid of it:

Disabling C1E.

Disabling Cool 'n quiet.

New Thermal Compound on the CPU.

Many times Windows reinstalled.

1. Executed:

regedit

2. Located:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Control \ Power \ PowerSettings \ 54533251-82be-4824-96c1-47b60b¬740d00 \ 5d76a2ca-e8c0-402f-a133-215849¬2d58ad3.

And i Changed the Attributes from 1 to 0.

3. Then,i did this:

through the control panel - power - in the settings mode select power management processor. There was an option to disable idle processor and the high pitched noise was reduced but didn't go away

Pc specs:

OS: Windows 8.1 Pro X64

CPU - AMD FX4100 @3.6Ghz.

Zalman heat sink.

GPU - HD 7870 DCII 2GB GDDR5 V2.

PSU - 750 Watt Corsair CX750M.

RAM - 8 GB @ 1333Mhz.

HDD's - 2x 1000Gb @72000RPM and 1x 500Gb @ 72000RPM.

SSD - None.

Motherboard - MSI 760GM P23 FX.

Case - MS-Tech CA-0300.

i found many other people with this problem and i feel like buying a new PSU.

but i wanted to ask you guys first before i do unnecessary things.

and if you can suggest a good PSU from corsair (700 to 750 watts) with +12 ratings 50+ amps one rail

Thanks in Advance guys.. :D

Stay Awesome!

hi SR-71,

are you sure it's the PSU?
the sound is like there's a mouse in my speakers annd sometimes it goes like:

Whingwhingwhingwhing

and sometimes like peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep pep peep pepe epe p epep peeeeep depending on what i'm doing

like i said,

I can hear it trough my speakers. <-- (what's this about? also PSU?)
I can hear it from my PSU.
I can hear it sometimes from the CPU area. <-- (and what's this about? also the PSU?)

and when i turn down the CPU Fan with speedfan to 10% it's completely silent exept for the PSU

that's weird i think

and the PSU still makes the Coil Whine sound at 70% CPU fan

it's gone in my speakers when i set the CPU fan to 70%

but i think 10% is way too low, temperartures while idle is 25 celcius with the CPU fan 100% and it's also very loud so..

and with setting the cpu fan turned off / disabled to 0% all the coil whine is gone

does my PSU cause this ? ^^^^

and isn't an 850W too much power?

and I live in The Netherlands, so can you find a PSU that i could buy here?

sorry for my english :p
