I purchased a G5258 Pentium with a Gigabyte B85M - DS3H motherboard in a combo deal for building an HTPC. Currently, I have 8GB (2x4GB) Ripjaws X 1866mHz RAM in my desktop and I've been considering upping my desktop RAM to 16GB. So, could I throw my 1866 RAM in this new HTPC? The pentium is only rated for 1333 and the motherboard for 1600. But, will it post regardless and just down clock the RAM to 1333? Or will the MB not recognize the 1866 at all and not POST?

Thanks fellas!
