Hello,
I just bought a new MB and CPU - Pentium G3258 and AsRock Z97 Anniversary. Everything works and overclocks fine - 4,7Ghz stable with Evo212. The problem is, that when I put my second RAM stick (2x4GB A-Data XPG) the system can't start - no boot, no post. Screen is black (idle) and blinking, and computer resets after a while (no sound from the hdd too). I tried RAM sticks separated - they both works perfect when they are not together. When I attach them both (tried the blues, tried the blacks) the system can't start. It is so bad, that I can't use my 8 gigs of ram, because I can use the system only with one 4G stick. That is why I am looking for help! Thanks!

My RAM:
8GB KIT OF 2x4 A-Data XPG
AX3U1600W4G9-DB
DDR3 1600(9) 4GX8
CL 9-9-9-24 1.5V

I would see if there is a bios update(using the 4 gigs) and see if that fixes it, or see if there are any settings that could be causing issues. If not then it might be a hardware problem with the motherboard?

Well, I have already try that, but the official site says, that there is only one BIOS release, the "First released." Also, it is the exact same version as mine - P1.10.

Re-assemble the configuration and everything works perfect now. Didn't see any broken or bad mounted pins, no idea what happend.
Works in dual channel now. Fixed

Interesting,

I'm wondering if you where using the motherboard's auto setting for memory (1333mhz) when the problem appeared.
You said you where using CL 9-9-9-24 1.5V. Are you using the same settings now again?

What first came up to my mind was checking the memory-supportlist for this board. I did't see AX3U1600W4G9-DB in the list.
In one of my older computer's i was using 2 ddr memory banks (dual channel mode) with the same mark and numbers but not bougth as a kit. Often the computer crashes at the first boot attempt. The second boot is always succesfull.
I was thinking in the direction of a voltage/power issue...maybe im right or wrong.

Hi everyone. I had the same problem. MOBO: Asus z97-P, Crucial 8GB DDR3 1866MHz CL9 Ballistix Tactical (2x4 GB) and when i put them into dual channel (black or grey) it wont boot. When i used onle one RAM in A_1 slot (black one, closest to CPU) or 2 Rams in A_1 and A_2 slot (black and grey so no dualchannel) it started and listed 8GB ram.

I solved it by configuring BIOS XMP profile from disablet do "profile 1" probably a default profile of Crucial manufacter. Now it works in dual chanell.

I also checked CPU - no pins bended

Hey I have the same problem.. can't get it to work on dual channel with 16GB (2x8GB) of DDR3 1600MHz.. so you just disassembled and assemble everything back together and it worked? Will give it a try hope it solves this issue

How did you get to the bios to configure the XMP if system will not boot when installing 2 rams on dual channel?
