First Time Build - Need Critique on Parts

I'm fairly new to building desktop computers and had to do a lot of research into the parts. With this said, I am curious to see what people think about the build. I want the gaming rig to last at least 5 years, if not longer with upgrades of course.

My Question: Build says it needs 433W of power, and according to Nvidia the GTX 780 (one step up from the 770 listed) needs a 600W Minimum PSU. So is a 750W overkill or right for this build?

Another question: is there anything I can change to make this a little bit cheaper without compromising any quality?

Another question: If I have a SSD at 2.5inch in length and my case has internal 2.5 inch slots - do I need brackets to hold it in place?

Here is my build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/DXsPvK

Thanks!

Made some changes, and got you a better graphics card, for less. :D Made the PSU big enough to handle crossfire, should you decide to go dual GPU.

Cheaper yet with a less expensive, but still quality, case.

Just two actualy, i would replace the ssd with a 256gb mx100 as it is about 20 dollars less and has better preformance, second i would get a 3.5 inch harddrive as you could save a bit of money their, but other than that it looks good

Heres my Suggestion

I notice that your motherboard choice gives you a $20 rebate, so feel free to ignore my question, I would only ask if it is worth going for a $100 WIFI adapter, instead of say the Asus Maximus VI Formula for $260 which has integrated WIFI, Bluetooth and I'm guessing a few more features+ on the Hero.

For your processor, my question is if you would notice a difference between an i5 from an i7 if you aren't utilizing it in a way that benefits from i7 (usually heavy rendering and video editing or even music production.)

I have a 550W PSU powering a GTX 780, just check the PSU tier list to make sure you have a good quality PSU.

It is a small suggestion that you might consider dropping to a 120GB PSU and only using it as a boot drive with a couple of other things on it, I don't think there is much more that really benefits from an SSD to justify the price and necessitate bigger drives. For this point I shall await correction from the more knowledgeable posters, however.

Also, RAM is RAM, and $90 seems a bit on the expensive side for 8GB 1600MHz.

Edit: Ultimately, it is your choice and I hope you use the suggestions here to confirm your own choice or find a build that you are truly happy with. Anyway, this is what I did with your budget...

I went for the 650W RM PSU based on this tier list

Does the MX100 have better performance than the Samsung? When I did my research, I came out with the Samsung being extremely high in ratings for performance. Otherwise, I chose a 2.5inch HD because the 3.5 inch is more susceptible to breaking with vibration. Although I am new and don't even know how much vibration there would be lol :heink:

I changed out the motherboard for the one you suggested. My main thing was being able to have Wi-Fi whether that be integrated or not due to not being able to connect via Ethernet - just with the way the house is set up. So thank you for that!

As for the difference in the i5 versus the i7, we wanted the i7 for streaming, light video editing, and just overall general performance. I don't really know the difference between the i5 and the i7 so any explanation on that would be great!

I think I might drop the SSD down to 120gb, as I really only need to put one or two main games on it for fast booting/loading screen times and of course the O.S.

As for Ram, you're definitely right, seems a bit pricey.

Thank you so much for your suggestions!
