I want to buy a gaming headset for my gaming pc. I want to spend around $150. I want the headset to be 7.1 surround sound with good audio, wired and very comfortable for long periods of gaming. Thank You
Creative's Sound Blaster Tactic3D Wrath gaming headset is a great headset with high-quality 7.1 sound. Has a detachable boom mic and wireless connection, with a good battery life.
I know you said wired.... I use a Logitech G930. I would never go back. Even when it dies I can plug in the micro USB cord and keep gamimg.
I have used it without noticing it on my head for hours on end.
My ears got hot with the G930 personally. I actually use a dedicated headphone and microphone setup now (Quality is WAY better) but if you are in the market for a headset then the G930 gets my 100% recommendation.

there are almost no true 7.1 headsets out there they all use software to emulate it ( its pretty good emulation)
You said my recommendation D: so I must upvote you. I use them for my console and as well as my PC. They work excellent. I would not say they are clouded with bass, which is not true by any means.

I would also suggest the G930, I use this and it is a great headset and is in your price range.
I used to use a x12 turtle beach headset but they died in my recent house move. I couldn't believe how much better the G930 sounded and at around the same price.

Just my $0.02
The reason im skeptible about the g930 is because i heard it cuts in and out alot when your using them and i have a pair of sonys and they do that and im tired of it always cutting out. so does this ever cut out?

Ah!!! It does cut out from time to time Not very often mind you but it clicks as it cuts out for half a second, I think it happens as it gets low on battery.
